Privacy Policy

ScoutMargin is built by sellers, for sellers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the one rule everything else sits on top of: your individual data is never shared with other users.
What we collect
Account info. When you log in with a magic link, we store your email address so we can sign you in and keep your data tied to your account.
Your data. The things you save on purpose: calculator inputs and results, buy-list deals, watchlist storefronts, and ungating tracker entries. This is stored so the product works — your pipeline is there when you come back.
Aggregated trends. We analyze anonymized, aggregate usage statistics to improve ScoutMargin. These contain no personal information, are visible only to ScoutMargin's operator, and are never shared with other users. To count site visits, your browser stores a random ID that can't identify you.
Feedback you send. If you use the feedback pill, we read your rating, comment, and the page you were on. It's anonymous — no account or contact info attached — and visible only to ScoutMargin's operator.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your watchlists, deals, or ungating entries with other users, advertisers, or data brokers. We don't run ads. Deal links you copy are just a URL — the math rides in the link itself, and nothing is stored on our servers when someone opens one.
Cookies and storage
We use browser storage to keep you logged in (via our authentication provider, Supabase). No third-party tracking cookies.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. If you want everything deleted, email us (see below) from your login email and we'll delete your account and all associated data.
Security
Data is stored with row-level security so each user can only ever access their own rows. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and you use ScoutMargin at your own risk.
Children
ScoutMargin is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify logged-in users.
